Both testing options feature an industry-leading 8-day turnaround, with expedited options available. Each test screens for 25 PFAS “forever chemicals,” including Maine’s six specifically regulated compounds (PFOS, PFOA, PFHxS, PFNA, PFHpA, Gen X, and PFDA), along with an additional 19 long-chain and short-chain PFAS compounds. These tests, which include 25 compounds, are a significant improvement over the outdated 537.1 method, which only covers 18 compounds.
